I HEART VALENTINE'S DAY

If you haven't already noticed, I have a thing for classroom valentine's day cards. I actually don't do too many crafty things - I'm all about hitting up Amazon Prime rather than DIY'ing it - but these I just can't resist, and every year come January I find myself brainstorming what I can do with the kids that year for their cards. I think it's the fact that they combine all three of my creative loves: photography, graphic design and a good pun. I always get a kick out of it and the girls are always so excited to assemble them and hand them out. I know one day they'll be way too "cool" for this stuff, so I'm milking it as long as I can. This year's cards turned out super cute, but it's hard to pick an overall favorite - the friendasaurus still gets me every time! I wish I'd had the presence of mind to take pics of all the ones we've made over the past few years, but here's a little selection:

We attached ice cream cone erasers to these to carry on the ice cream theme, and the back of the card had the sprinkle pics - I got my floor too messy to let them go to waste!

These had heart balloons attached (tip: kids of all ages LOVE balloons!)

No photo on this one, but I made the card and the pun was just too good to pass up!
